April 18 Easter, April, 2009, Asia, Indochina I've made another journey to Asia, this time a different destination (so I'll be adding another country onto my list!). The new thing to visit this time was the Kingdom of Cambodia. I'm here in Cambodia for a few more hours.
I was lucky enough to cross Angkor Wat off my list of things to see. I took about 400 pictures of the temple, and I only saw about one half of the things you're supposed. Anyways, I've set up a separate album for the photos, I'll add more as I download more. Every temple was something new...whether bas-reliefs, the ruins of a giant reclining Buddha, towering stone towers, aspara dancers carved into stone or the giant heads at Bakon temple. For my next trip, there still a few places and things left to do there, the Elephant Temple, or the dawn/dusk over the temple itself. Phnom Penh is a pleasant tropical stop too. I visited the usual tourist attractions, plus a stop at the Killing Fields.
I was also lucky enough to make a stop in Beijing, Malaysia and, if the generals allow, I'll be in Bangkok in a few hours.
Enjoy the pictures and when I get home, I'll make some comments or even add a few more pictures!
